Texas School Based Tobacco Prevention Program

The Southwest Prevention Center, University of Oklahoma, has been selected as a vendor/provider for the School Based Tobacco Prevention Program that will be provided through the Texas Education Service Centers (ESCs).  The SWPC will offer the curriculum, Toward No Tobacco Use (TNT) as part of this project.  TNT was successfully implemented in several ESC regions as a “pilot” tobacco prevention program.  Below are resources for ESCs:

  • Application Checklist - a tool to assist you with completing your TEA Funding Proposal.

  • Proposed Implementation Timeline - projected schedule for TNT implementation.

  • Services Package - describes all project services and cost information.

  • ESC Needs Assessment Survey– gathers information about the specific needs and goals of each ESC region with regard to the Texas School Based Tobacco Prevention Program.
