Certified Prevention Specialist Exam Preparation Course

The Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS) Exam Preparation Course will assist in preparing participants to study for and subsequently take the newly revised CPS exam.  This course covers the requirements and application process to become a Certified Prevention Specialist.   The workshop presenters will discuss the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC), authors of the exam, how the exam was developed, and how it is conducted.  The workshop presenters will identify the domains and tasks covered in the new exam, study resources, the types of questions that are on the exam and tips for studying and taking the exam.  There will be an opportunity to establish a study group. 

Training Dates and Times, Thursday, February 3, 2011; 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

MARCH 11-12, 2011 – San Antonio Texas: The registration deadline is January 17, 2011.  Must be received by that date, NOT  just postmarked by date.
JUNE 10-11, 2011 – Houston, Texas: The registration deadline is April 18, 2011.  Must be received by that date, NOT  just postmarked by date.
SEPTEMBER 9-10, 2011 – Mesquite/Dallas Area, Texas: The registration deadline is July 14, 2011.  Must be received by that date, NOT  just postmarked by date.
