Community Mobilization Training (CMT)

communityimageCommunity Mobilization Training is a two day workshop designed to educate attendees regarding the prevention of substance abuse and related problems within their communities. The program follows a series of four main topics:

  1. PREVENTION
    Using a proven framework that addresses risk and protective factors attendees will discover the factors that contribute to problems, how these come to pass, and what they all have in common.
  2. PLANNING MODEL
    Participants will learn about a planning model that has been successfully used with a number of community based prevention initiatives.
  3. COMMUNITY/COALITION READINESS
    Looking at the readiness of their community and coalition, participants will begin addressing issues and identifying the types of activities that will help them move forward.
  4. LOGIC MODELS
    Teams will build a plan to take back to their coalition that will enable them to build support for their efforts.
